'deputy' grandparents

i've been in new zealand since i was 7ish and for these 11 years i've been here - i've had 'deputy' grandparents (its what they call themselves)
they are lovely, they were neighbors from our old house back in the day.
audrey and clive would always remember to come to my dance shows, would always drop by every xmas eve with nicely wrapped gifts and send me a birthday card with $20 on the 13 of july
and like any kid, i would have to (willingly) call and express my gratitude.

we had lunch together today, its amazing how they look the same as they were when i was 7.
clive is turning 88, audrey..well i donno shes always been secretive with her age.
